Operations Manager

Job Summary: Plans, directs, and coordinates Pro-Cise operations and improves productivity and efficiencies.  Manages Quality Lab and maintains ISO 9001 certification. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead, manage and direct all operations of Pro-Cise holding all accountable
  • Coordinate, manage and monitor the workings of scheduling, purchasing, production, and shipping/receiving to meet corporate goals
  • Monitor staffing requirements and hire new talent as needed
  • Assist in interviewing, recruiting, and training new hires
  • Establish work schedules – supervise staff – monitor and evaluate performance
  • Manage and direct supply chain management
  • Manage and direct capacity planning for the area
  • Drive and lead continuous improvement for the area by improving processes and policies in support of organizational goals
  • Foster a continuous improvement culture - use your can-do attitude to challenge, enable, and empower employees to develop and implement changes to eliminate waste and improve on time delivery, cost, quality, and safety
  • Manage and lead the operations plan for the area by maintaining accurate/clear documentation for operational procedures and activities

  • Facilitates customer or vendor audits as needed
  • Maintains and manages the master files for all quality related documents.  Be the owner of all quality system policies, procedures and work instructions
  • Responsible for the procurement, maintenance, training and calibration of all testing equipment
  • Responsible for ISO Certification
  • Other duties as assigned

MANUFACTURING ENGINEER

Job SummaryThis position has responsibility to assure all customer requirements are met by providing accurate engineering plans and timely procurement and management of materials. The manufacturing engineer will act as the liaison between the project manager and other departments throughout the organization. A strong emphasis on quality, cost, delivery, and process improvement is a requirement for the position.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

-       Prepare and manage the design of engineering masters and work orders.

-       Responsible for creation of work instructions to meet customer requirements.

-       Responsible for planning, developing and purchasing all raw materials and components specific to customer requirements.

-       Visit and develop relationships with key suppliers for outsourced work and contracted special services.

-       Assist in management and identification of raw material inventory.

-       Determine customer specifications by studying product design and customer requirements.

-       Manage and track customer orders from receipt to shipment.

-       Identify and plan special packaging requirements.

-       Manage and document customer related prints.

-       Responsible for management and creation of dxf files and manufacturing drawings.

-       Provide technical support to project manager and customers.

-       Provide project support to the shop floor.

-       Responsible for root cause analysis and corrective action plans for jobs with unfavorable gross margins.

-       Responsible for variance analysis with regards to estimated hours vs. actual hours.

-       Continuous process improvement.

Working ConditionsWorking conditions are normal for an office environment with frequent interaction on the production floor. Work may require occasional overnight travel and weekend and/or evening work.

CNC PROGRAMMER / MATERIAL HANDLER

Job Summary: 
Be able to program vertical mills and knowledge of Mastercam.  Work with scheduling to organize job priority to unload, route and stage materials along with tooling for each job.  Must work in cooperation with multiple machinists to minimize delays, comply with schedule, meet or exceed standard times, and contribute to the future success of the company.

  • Material routing by pulling, issuing and staging materials to work orders/jobs based on schedule requirements to each machine
  • Research and prepare programs per machine to kit tooling per job
  • Organize and stage tooling for work orders/jobs per machine
  • Assist with organizing and maintaining existing inventory
  • Able to read blue prints and manufacturing drawings/instructions
  • Accurately records labor and work order information
  • Participate in a team based, positive work environment with effective conflict resolution skills
  • Able to measure and inspect to quality requirements
  • Compliant to ISO procedures, PPE and safety program
  • Compliance with P.P.E. and safety program
  • Initiates and participates cost and quality improvement projects

CNC MACHINIST candidates must:

  • Have at least 1 to 3 years of experience in setting up and operating Lathes and/or Vertical Machining Centers with close tolerances
  • Have a 2 year degree in Machine Tooling Technics
  • Have the ability to run more than one machine where cycle time permits
  • Be able to read/interpret blueprints, with an understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) symbols
  • Have a good understanding of CNC controls and G/M code programming skills (read, write, edit)
  • Be able to measure and inspect to quality requirements
  • Have the ability to work independently or with others to support a strong team environment
  • Have strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Be able to handle other related duties as assigned

WELDER candidates must:

  • Have a minimum of 2-5 years experience with Flux Core/GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding/Mig)
  • Be able to read and understand blueprints and have knowledge of GD&T weld symbols
  • Be proficient at fixture design
  • Have the ability to weld low volume/prototype components or sub-assemblies to meet applicable quality standards and drawing requirements
  • Have the ability to pass multiple weld certifications
  • Weld fitment experience to .030 tolerances a plus
  • Heat straightening experience a plus
  • Have the ability to work independently or with others to support a strong team environment
  • Have strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Be able to handle other related duties as assigned
